Here is my implementation (might need a bit of tweaking) on a 2003 A6

The 'driving' 12 Volt is taken off the wires going to the heated windscreen washers as shown on the second photo.

AudiQS. Are your lights really that blue. You may get pulled as displaying forward or reverse blue lights is not legal other than for emergency vehicles. Regards Peter

NO not blue they are white other wise i would not have them on . I know where your coming from .
The camera does not like the leds even my phone camera does not like them im in the prosess of changing them to a different type which will look even better.
Just a note that ive got contacts in VOSA that said these are ok in day time use and not to be used as a headlight, if you know what i mean there are alot of so called black spots in the leagals so you have to tread carefully and read between the lines.

If you look at the bottom of your headlights there is a chrome strip.
I have used industrial strength double sided tape not the M3 stuff that looks like gooey bowgie altho its good for some things but not for outdoors and hi temp.
Be carefull when buying these strips of leds there are lots of copy types that may be cheep but they dont flex as good and will split in time, and remember the colour must be bright white not warm white.

NOTE i can not be held responsible for any mods you do to your car this is only to be used as a guide and any legal issues this also goes for my previouse thread. As rules and regs change weekly.

    Hope this all helps.

Hi ive got the 4B5 C5 1999 .My next move is to try and move them to the inside of the headlight has been on my mind for a few months its figuring out how they are going to mount with out disterbing the light / beam and how hot it gets inside . will let every one know when ive done it. Also you got to think if it effect the light pattern it wont go through the MOT.
