Who do I speak to to get mine to do that - that's great!!!

Is it something that the dealer can activate?

It is done via something called VAGCOM, which is a lead that plugs into the diagnostic port and your PC. It is something you can do yourself with the lead and software which is about 250. Other options are dealer, independent or someone with VAGCOM.

If changes like this are made using VAGCOM, will they be reverted to defaults when the car is next serviced? If a dealer makes the changes, do they stick for ever?
I am interested in the lock / unlock beep, the dropping passenger mirror on selecting reverse (if that is even possible - I don't have folding mirrors, just standard) and the needle sweep, but I don't think it is worth £250 to me.
Is there anyone near Bristol (or the route to Swansea) that has VAGCOM and would be willing to help please?

According to our resisdent Audi Tech they will be removed. However most people have found that this only happens if they happen to be changing something and not just part of a service.

Guys

I too think this is brilliant & have been looking in to the VAGCOM but cannot really justify £250. Would anyone be interested in buying a unit between us to do all our cars? I am based in Bedfordshire but maybe we can arrange something?
