Just a quick question. Does anyone know if the 18" RS6 alloys will sit well on a passat sport? Remember the sport is lower than the normal passat. Hasanyone ever tried this. The wheels are 5 x1 112 and they have an offset of 45. Its the offset that I am worried about. Due to the nature of the purchase I am unable to try before I buy.

Hi mate the offset should be fine i have same on my 99 passat sport but with RS8 wheels. What are the tyre sizes do you know? Best to go for are 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 some have 35 profile tyres but in my opinion due to the size of the car and the way it sits the tyres look too small like this. Hope this helps :-)

I have now bought the wheels and fitted them. The tyres are 225/40/18 and they really make the car stand out. I will post pictures tomorrow

Ace! You encouraged me to buy some for my 1.8t sport got some audi RS8 styles with optional wide tyre upgrade. 235/40/18 gives the car a really mean stance :-) will get some pictures up when they arrive.

My standard Passat Sport 1.8t wheels are offset ET45 anyway.

Happy with the new look? Mine desperately needs some nicer alloys but I'm undecided.

I think the RS8 alloys I got really transform the car. It does need lowering but even without that the car has a much tougher stance and stands out more. The car also definately handles better too.
