re passat alarm and lights

Hi Can anybody help or advise me i have a 2003 53 passat tdi sport and recently has developed a problem whereas the indicators won't flash when the alarm is armed or de armed, The alarm is working however when the alarm is sounding lights do not flash either, Not bulbs as indicators are fine so are hazzards and all other lights, The carpet is bone dry passenger side even under the underlay.

Can anybody shed some light or pointers to check, is there a test mode i can put the car in to check the central locking solenoids are not at fault although all doors lock and unlock ford used to have a system where you could put the alarm into test mode and open each door boot and bonnet individually and the alarm would beep once letting you know the circuit was fine the door that diddnt beep Hey presto. Does the passat have the same style of test?????????????? Or can anybody tell me where the wiring or relay for the alarm are so i can get a tester on there Many Thanks Dan.

you will need to get a diag machine plugged into the cdl system
then you can do a final control diag test on the alarm
