    Have noticed that the engine temperature gauge in my 04 1.8T reaches the halfway point (which is the normal engine temp.) after just 5 mins from starting the car from cold. Am pretty certain it never used to be that quick.

    Should I be worried?

    mine does the same since i have had it, no problems so far though. (touch wood)

    Mine also takes about 5 minutes or around 5km, so I don't think you need to worry
