I have an 80 V6 Avant, slung an S2 front end on with no issues.

Assuming your car is a B4 variety follow this guide, (B4's are from 1993 to 1995 and B3's are from 1988 to 1993)

OR if yours is a B3, ie, the front grill is not built in to the bonnet, this can still be done but you will need a pair of wings, bonnet, headlamps and slam panels.
If you need a B4 bonnet i have one for sale, also an S2 slam panel set, may have a pair of B4 one piece headlamps but will need to check.

    Guide for a B4
Remove the existing bumper by removing the fog lights from the bumper, two M8 (13mm head) bolts each side need to be undone, then the sides of the bumper need to be pulled away from the hidden mouldings under the bumper corners.
Remove the bumper and throw in the nearest skip, bonfire, hungry pig etc..
On the front wings are two brackets held on by 4 screws, remove the brackets and burn them or hit them with a 2 pound lump hammer.
On the wheel arches are four holes which will need to have a captive nut type affair attatched, these can be bought from Audi for a couple of quid. Pop these in and then offer up the new S2 bumper, bolt it up via the same way the old one was removed, then fire four small bolts into the new captive nuts, sit back, light your pipe and congratulate yourself on a job well done old boy.

No other parts need to be changed whatsoever, it is just the bumper. I assume your car has the one piece headlights as opposed to the separate indicator and headlamp affair on the more lowly poverty specced 80's.

The 80 Quattros usually come with the indicator and fogs in the standard bumper, these are inter-changable into the S2 bumper so no changes are needed there. The only other change you could make is by adding the Ellipsoid headlamps off the later S2's, but these will cost you around 400 million pounds each plus a good seeing to from any female member of your family by the vendor.

    Easy really isn't it.

    Top job.

Oh and am i right by saying the one 80 is pcd 4 x 108 and the S2 is 5 stud on the wheels cause i wanted some s2 alloys too but not speding loads on adaptors.

Oh and can i get coilovers for it ? or just lowering springs, induction kit ?

Yup, thats a B4, easy front conversion then.

    Stud pattern is 4 x 108 as you stated, S2's are 5 x 112.
Don't use adapters on the hubs, too risky, by using the S2 hubs, 80 driveshafts with either S2 CV joints or CV joints from a Coupe Quattro you will be able to fit the S2 hubs and then use any 5 x 112 wheels.
Bit of a job to do but not impossible.
Coil overs can be fitted, unsure on cost but they are out there and will fit onto any 80, just make sure you buy 80 ones if you stick with the standard 4x108 hubs or S2 ones if you fit S2 hubs.
Lowering springs again can be had for around the 100 pound mark.
Induction kits can be had, i think a company called Wolf make a rather nice one for the V6 engine, not bothered with one myself but i've heard good things about them.

If it was me, i would fit some RS4 9 spoke reps with the centre caps to cover the 4 stud pattern and drop it on lowering springs, hub conversion is a lot of pain for the sake of using the S2 Avus wheels, as they were 16" as standard on the S2's and as pretty as they are you can do better by fitting replica 4 stud jobbies, after all a lot of S2 owners have changed to 17 or 18 inch wheels.

Keep me posted on this one, look forward to seeing you swap bits about, the standard front bumpers on these looks pants in comparison to the S2 ones.
If you struggle to get an S2 one, look for one from a V6 Coupe, same design just minus the headlamp washers.

    Righty ho.
