    Change Fuel Filter tdi
    Is this a simple job i.e. buy a filter, unscrew/unbolt old one, fit new filter - job done?

    Yes, just make sure you are clinically clean. Give the filter head a blast with the hose next time you wash the car, and spray with solvent of something before you start. Any bits dropping into the new one on the outlet side or getting scooped up by the open pipes would be really bad.


    Also refill the new one to the top with clean diesel, it can save half an hour of cursing and cranking. (but not from the old filter or a dirty vessel) remember this diesel you pour in will probably not be filtered before it goes to the fuel system,
