    Hi.

My brand new A5 TFSI with 211 bhp seems to have a bit of turbo hesitation at around 3000 revs. When I put the pedal to the metal it accelerates smoothely from 1500-3000 revs and then for a short while it feels like it runs out of breath for half a second and then it keeps accelerating from there again and on to 4500 revs and more.
Is this normal with this engine?

    Cheers

    / Chris

post engine ecu sw version and is this a manual gearbox or multi tronic if the answer is multitronic then post the sw version of this control unit also.
If you do not have vag com then i advise you take your vehicle into your local Audi dealer and ask them to check this for you and refer to any software updates or tpi documents for this complaint.

    Hi a8 tech.

    It's a manual gearbox.
I'm not quite sure where to find the engine sw version? There's a sticker in the car's service book with a lot of codes (letters and numbers). I suppose that sticker displays the equipment level of the car. Could it be there somewhere?

You require diagnostic equipment such as vag com but as your vehicle is covered under warranty just ring the dealer and ask them to look into your complaint and possibly arrange a test drive of a similar vehicle to compare

I think this is the cam change over point, mine is the same - a small hesitation at 3400 rpm.

A software update did the trick. Now there is no hesitation anymore:-)
