    Hi everyone

I need help - I installed a RSN-D in an A4 B6 originally equipped with Audi Concert - I have read a lot of forums & getting confused, can anyone clarify about the connection of the CAN L & H cables in the instrument cluster.

    thanks

Firstly have you got the TMC box, extra piece of kit.

You should get an error every time you switch it on the RNS-D, unless you have disabled the TMC box through Vagcom

The CAN H + L from the cluster goes to the TMC box and then gets converted (Audi to Bosch) as the RNS-D doesn't understand Audi CAN. This then goes to your big long blue connector in the back of the RNS-D

The CAN H+L doesn't have anything to do with where you are on the map AFAIN its there to display the info on the DIS and turn the satnav off and on when your keys are inserted, and also illumination changed, when you switch your lights on etc etc

more importantly you need to make sure you have gala and reverse wires sorted

black pool, could you help me?

So I have the same problem, I have the tmc working, but no navigation on DIS cluster.
    Is it coding? or wiring?
    Thanks!

If your nav is a retrofit, there is a fault known as the "red DIS bug".
Program the nav with a route, then turn the unit off and back on, the directions will appear on the DIS.
