Hi,,not sure if this has been posted before,, sorry if it has but I had a flat on Monday & after getting the spare out of the boot noticed a little water in the spare wheel well,, any ideas how this could be happening,I will have a look myself but its pouring down at the moment, so will wait for a dy hour or two.
    is it a known problem?
    Thanks

The other thing to check is that there is no debris around the boot seal, especially at the top beneath the window.

When you open the boot and there is standing water on the boot lid it pours off the lid and into a gulley behing the rubber seal. It then flows around the opening and flows out over the bumper. If there are leaves or other rubbish it can overflow into the boot.

Are you driving the estate? I had a similar problem on my golf. The problem was due to a faulty seal around the rear wiper. Water would get in here, run down the inside of the boot and end up in the spare wheel well.

I previously posted on this subject. See link on previous reply.

My similar problem is now fixed under warranty. They say they replaced a boot strut seal. Too early yet to tell whether it is properly fixed.

Ui suggest you get yours in to the dealer while th ewarranty is still open. Beware though they will need to keep it several days (they said).
