    Hi All

first post so be gentle with me.

Just ordered a GOLF GTD, very excited!

Was wondering if anyone knows if this comes with bluetooth as standard.

the bloke at my local dealership was not very reassuring as when i turned up for the test drive he only had a GTI, and said it was identical, although i can see from the brochiure it is not!

It has a button on the steering wheel to answer the phone but doesnt mention anything about bluetooth.

Thanks in advance for your help

    Cheers

    Andrew

Hello and congrats. on the new car, the GTD is lovely and a pleasure to drive!

Looking at the VW Configurator, it does not seem to list bluetooth under standard equipment and the bluetooth prep. is a £300 optional extra, so I would say no, it does not come as standard.

Interestingly I note that cruise control is not standard either, whereas it is on the GT .

Bluetooth not standard although the button will be on the wheel regardless of whether it is installed or not. Only works with certain phones though so check 1st.

Options like Cruise, Tyre Pressure Monitor and MFD for iPod are on all extras as well on the GTI/GTD.

Sony forget it as none of their phones are supported. 99% of Nokias are and most of the Windows Mobile based phones along with a couple of the newer Blackberries. iPhone not compatible either.

You need a phone which supports RSAP (Remote Sim Access Protocol). Once you get a phone that works the system is excellent.

Well if you're spending £300 on a bluetooth system it's hardly a big deal buying a compatible phone if you don't already have one.

Really? That sucks - you pay more for a higher model, but get less than a lower model....
