    Hi,

I have been having an intermittent problem with my ABS and often the light would illuminate on the dash, previously this never showed up as a fault.

Today however I felt a shudder as the light came on and scanned for codes when I got home and to my surprise a fault was logged as follows

    VAG-COM Version: Release 409.1-S

    Control Module Part Number: 4D0 907 379 D
    Component and/or Version: ABS BOSCH 5 4174
    Software Coding: 0265108005
    Work Shop Code: BB 34174

    1 Fault Found:
00597 - Wheel Speed Impulses: Deviation
    35-10 - - - Intermittent
I have no idea what this even means !!! lol . Can anyone help shed some light on what may be the cause or consequence of this?

    EDIT: I have a 1996 Audi A4 1.9 TDI 110BHP, Engine Code AFN

That's great thank you I am sure that the wheels and tires are the same size as they have always been so I am having a guess at the wheel bearing as there is a low droning noise as I drive.
