2.7tdi quattro remap...

Hi,

I got my new car a couple of days ago, and am starting to look around for a remap.

Loads of topics have covered this, and i'm pretty confident of the gains that will be possible etc.

My only reservation is I have read a few posts on several forums that suggest that the gearbox software has to be updated (its a Tiptronic box). Is this the case, or is it only the multitronics that need the gearbox programming as well?

Has anyone in / near Milton Keynes had there 2.7tdi remapped? Who did you use?

Only done 150 miles so far, but all I can say is wow! I love this car! Cant wait to see how much bigger my grin gets when its remapped .

In the absence of responses, I've decided to go ahead anyway and get an evolution chips remap done by Steve. Happens on Monday - cant wait

Just had Steve from sr-performance over to do the remap, and although I've just gone round the block (via some dual carriageway), I'm already very impressed - much more bottom end and urgency :-) - even feels quicker than the 3.0tdi I test drove.

It even seems faster than my old A4 Quattro 1.8T Sport. Just hope the economy is better when i'm driving sensibly - got 6mpg on the enthusiastic test drive!! (but still worth it).
