Hi I posted a thread a few weeks ago regarding a lumpy/rough idle on my A4 2.0TDi 55 plate. No one to date has recognised this fault other than similar faults so I am going to attempt to block off the EGR valve. I have been told to do this at the inlet manifold side as opposed to the valve itself. Anyone know of how to go about this job and is it a problem to leave it blocked off?
    Many thanks!

Yes blocked off the EGR, but ran like no turbo so put it back rather swiftly. No one has come up any answers other than this is quite common. I know someone who has done loads to rectify this fault with no joy. I am now looking at having it mapped out, but would really like to know what it wrong. You would have thouht someone could have shed some light on it, but thanks for responce.

Please let me know how (if) you do get to the bottom of it as I'd love to crack this one.
If you are pimping it first then although I like you style this fault really annoys me and I need to get an answer to it before I tidy her up. Don't tell me I bet you are trying to put LED's into the headlights! Seems to be the in thing to do. Cheers!

Hi all, Anyone found an answer to this one as my pride and joy has just started to run little lumpy on idle?? Driving tho is as smooth as can be, without a remap obviously!!!!!
Ive herd of lots of maybe's but no positive results as of yet thru our fellow members........EGR,DMF?? You could actually end up spending loads of hard earned cash trying to rectify this one
