I have A4 2.5 TDi Avant and I am having trouble starting the car, it starts first time from cold then when it is warm is starts after about 10 to 15 seconds. The glow plug light starts flashing when it is warm. I would be greatfull for any advice I have also changed the brake light switch. My biggest fear is it maybe the fuel pump.

I had the same problem with my car and still do. I was told by a professional specialist, that it could be the faulty temp gauge which was done by a dodgy speciaist.

In my case it was both, either the temp sense or something to do with the immobiliser. Couldnt get it done cause of job loss, so will get it fixed next month.

However, I too have doubts that it could be the fuel pump.

both codes point to an EGR valve fault
p01441 is EGR valve circuit open/short circuit to ground
p01442 is EGR valve position sensor signal too high
you will need to check the EGR system
this can be done via diag tool 1552 or vag com with use of wiring diagrams
it sounds to me the specialist was reluctant to either fix or give info
you are a bit far away to help in person but you can call me for info 07711 523638
