I have decided to increase the power on my 97 A4 TDI SE 110.

Im going to fit larger .216 T4 Eurovan injectors, a VNT-17 from a PD130, and a large FMIC, with a remap to suit.

With the extra power its probably a good idea to have a new cambelt fitted, as my current belt is a bit long in the tooth.

My local dealer 'Blackburn Audi' has quoted £350 for belt change, and im not sure if that includes tensioners etc.

Does anyone know of a north west England Audi dealer or independant specialist who does a good job for less money?

    Hi Mate,

I realised Preston Audi were cheaper £220 from Memory although they are part of the same group . However, my friend decided to change his at AutoVolks in Chorley (search on yell.com) and it cost him fraction of the dealer cost and the job was pukka!

hey, i just got my cambelt changed from a guy who (doesnt look 2 professional) but still does the same job. he worked alongside a vw/audi specialst until he opended his own place. but he only touches diesels.

i got my cam belt kit and fan belt put in (and had to replace the tensioner) and i paid £170. he also changed an arm and brake hose pipe for me (as this failed in the M.O.T) i think i got a bargain. i drove ma audi for a further 3000miles, and seems fine.

but he is my no means a guy wit an audi uniform. heck his tools look primitive but does this really matter?
