Number plate rules are to help ANPR Cameras. I don't mind ANPR as it catches people who have No road Tax, Insurance or MOT. Which is good for us who shell £1000's because of to keep our car legal.

I just get annoyed when cameras are making criminals out of us who go 10% over the speed limit

I totally agree, it was 10% over I was doing but the ******** lied and said I was doing 37 when I know for a fact I was doing 33. I am ashamed to say I did not have the guts, time or money to fight them; I rolled over and paid up. The whole system is completely pointless (sic), they say it has reduced road deaths as they have fallen but the truth is that accidents themselves have gone up, safer cars are reducing casualties. The M1 near Nottingham proves that slower speeds and cameras don't work. Between 25 and 29 is daily carnage in a 50mph Specs camera area, almost every day there is a major incident.

HELP! In what way? It was a camera van that got me and lied about my speed!!!!! Not only that but it was parked dangerously and illegally on the pavement! Reactive Policing doesn’t work, we need cops in cars not muppets in vans..

I hate camera Vans, They can't take speed reading in rain or the dark, so only catch people speeding when the weather is good,....well that's safety for you

Anyone in Norfolk will be well used to Camera Van's (its about the only way to get caught in this lovely back water) and they cause more problem's than they solve. People go barrelling along only to slam on their brakes when they see them hiding in the lay-by, causing all sorts of carnage behind. Even more annoying is when people stamp on there breaks every time they see a van with the slightest bit of reflective tape parked at the side of the road!

I get nervous these days if I spot a white van in the distance (so that is most of the time), especially if it looks like a rear door is open on there is a flap above the doors.
