    2001 1.9 TDi Sharan.

It has air conditioning (not electronic climate control) How do I know whether it needs the 1050g or the 700g of gas? There is a blower in the back, controlled from the middle row seating. Is it one or two evaporators?

Please help as Kwik Fit were pretty useless and screwed it up 2.5 times. (the 3rd attempt as incomplete as the charging station blew a fuse.

When charged to the 1050g the compressor was overloading (i think) it was cutting in and out frequently and just not playing game.

The second charge was at the 700g. It worked perfect in the front compartment but when operating the rear blower, no cool air in the rear.

Going to a more competent garage this week if I can get booked in. But would be nice to know.

It is only vehicles with Clinatronic that have 2 evaporators.

Ok, so a year down the line and I get home from offshore to hear that the AC light only comes on up to Number 2 on the blower control. Any higher and it looks like the AC goes off as the light goes out.

I am away to have a look under the bonnet and see if the AC clutch is engaging or not and I will also check the temp. I am guessing it needs another recharge, but if only after 1 year I guess I may have a leak?

I've had exactly the same problem happen. To check, does the blower also seem slower than normal?

If so, the resistor pack has blown. About £20 to fix. Remove the glove compartment and you'll see it in the middle of two units (should be green).

The blower does seem slower on 1 and 2, but 3-4 are ok.

How does the glove box come out? Before I break it.......

New tyres on (khumo) new rear discs and pads to fit and also this resistor pack to have a look at. Wherever that may be?

Its out, not broken either, just pop out the lower 2 pin hinges, then once done pop them back in.
