    Default t5 t30 130hp alternator replacement – 28-06-2009,10:19 PM
    Hi there i need to replace the alternator on my t5 its the 130hp 2.5 turbo
    and was wondering if anyone had any tips or has done one as i had a quick look today and removed the sump guard and it looks a bit of a pig of a job. any advice would be gratefull thanks

    correct you will have to take the front off,make sure its not just the coupling or worse the drive shaft not turning the alternator ....

    thanks for your help, turned out to be something completly different in the end which has now been sorted alot easier and cheaper
