2.5TDi Avant Quattro Alloy wheels

Hi all....I am new to this forum.

Anyways, I am very soon going to be the proud owner of a Nov 03 B6 2.5TDi Avant Quattro, which is fully loaded (leather, cruise, parking sensors, bose, etc, etc). 24K miles :-)

The ONE thing I am not particularly keen on though are the 18 inch cross spoke alloys - The audi Dealer I am getting the car from is currently refurbishing these alloys - probably at GREAT expense.

I would like to fit 18 inch RS6 alloys in place of the cross spokes.....now I could pay anything upto £600 on e-bay for these alloys - OR I buy a set of replicas for a LOT less.

Now I have heard that the replicas are heavier than the OEM alloys....anyone out there have any advice, or should I just stick with the cross spokes, and spend every sunday morning cleaning the things ?

thoroughly clean then laquer your cross-spokes so they'll clean up nicely when you flog them on for those RS6's.
