    Hi Guys and Gals

    I am after a bit of advice, have a 2.4 A6

    Spec
    Gearbox: Auto (Tiptronic)
    Upholstery: Full leather (Gray)
    Year: 1998 (s)
    Sounds: 6 CD changer
    Mot: July 2007
    Tax: July 2007

    Condition: A1

Right now you know the details, here are the question's

    1) I am thinking about selling the car, but am unsure of what to ask?

Anyone give me any guideline prices?

    2) My local garage, has said as the car is unbadged it is worth more as that would have been a special request when the car was purchased new? is this correct?

Oh by the way the title is not a flippant remark , it is a quotation taken from the very funny Mel Brookes film Blazing Saddles

    Cheers

My car must be worth a fortune then as I just took some strong fishing line and sawed through my badges glue, then cleaned up the paintwork after with some polishing gunk. It's not too hard to debadge a car and I'm not sure where the local garage got that information from.

You could try Parkers guide for pricing, but it can be general and you have to pay to make particular adjustments like mileage.

Glass's guide is the trade guide and will give you a trade in price that will make you pale.

Autotrader can also be used as a guide too. Then make an average and if you have looked after it well put a bit more on and see.

My previous car was an MG ZT, I was offered £6000 as trade in against the Audi, he said it wouldn't sell for more than £8000, sold it for not much less than £9000.
