Hi Doe's anyone have any experience the 'adaptions' i've recently changed my convenience module in my audi A4 but im told i need to set the adaptions correctly to recognise my coded key fobs. The problem i have is that with VAG COM i can't change anu values in adaptions, i get an error saying my software is not recognised, which it is. However if i plug my old module back in i'm able to get into that section..

    Confused..

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply, yes the new module had exactly the same part number, even the final letters were the same.

    I have both keys yes.

then you must have a faulty unit,it carnt be the wiring or it wouldnt talk to the old unit,it should talk to the new unit straight away for you to change the coding and i believe you only have to match the remotes

VCDSis the new name for VAG-COM. As for 409-1 it needs to be registered for adaptions.

If it's registered you can upgrade. (It's free) the latest version is 805-04. Also some of the fleabay interfaces don't work that well...
