    Hi,
Have just bought a MK3 8 Valve after many years away from the MK3 scene. The handbrake light is permantly even thought the handbrake is off!
Could this be the handbrake light switch? If so any idea as to where it is and how do i adjust it?

The handbrake switch is under the handbrake. If you take off the centre console (rear part), you should be able to see it. See if the switch is pushed down when the handbrake is off. Try pushing it down manually to see if it works.

Have checked the brake fluid and all is fine there.Took the centre console off and disconnected the handbrake light sitch and the light was still on even though i'd disconnected it!! I did press down the button which should make the light go out but that didn't do anything either.
Am wondering if it's something to do with the top on the brake fluid resevoir which has the electrical connector going to it.?

Any more help and ideas would be good
