    Hi,

    before making a mess of my Mk1 Tin Roof.
    could anyone tell me the correct measurment (distance from rear roof edge not to include the tailgate) for the roof aerial please?

    Hi there!

    If I'm not mistaken, the Mk1 'Bee sting' aerial was a mod and therefore not an exact science.

    If I was putting one on mine, I'd take the 'how does it look' approach. Although it depends on your take on things I guess!

    Also depends on the modded look you're going for too, could you get away with a windscreen mounted aerial so you don't have to mark your gorgeous Mk1!?!

    Any thoughts?

    I thought the same as G60JONNY, they never fitted a roof mount to the mk1, it was on the wing.

    If your going to fit it to the roof, then I would say open the hatch and check the aerial doen't hit it.
