Different 1.9 tdi 130 engines

I see there are different engine codes for the 1.9TDi 130, why? Whats the difference, is one better?

I have the AWX which is the PD, do the others not have PD but same power?

All 130ps 1.9s are P.D engines

The AWX is torque limited to 210lb/ft to protect the 5speed manual it usually comes bolted to.
The AVF has the full beans 228lb/ft of torque as it is always bolted to the newer 6 speed transmission which has a higher torque capability.
As far as I'm aware they are 99% the same core engine.

The highest hp for a non pd 1.9 engine was 110.

I thought the 6spd had a bit more torque to make it feel a bit more powerful and you didn't just pay extra for the 6spd.

No, you will just exceed the torque limit factor of safety VAG consider the limit for the 01W series box.

For the gearbox? On the data sticker in the boot or in the service book, two examples are FHN and GGB
