Hi, I am new to the forum having just ordered a new Passat (currently got an Audi A4 S-line but the lease is expiring after 100,000 miles +).

Ordered my car on Monday and the dealer has told me not to expect the car until the middle of September. By my reckoning thats going to be 13 or 14 weeks for delivery. I have added rear airbags & parking sensors to the standard CC GT car, so nothing major.

Has this lead time been experienced by others? When I went to the local showroom a few weeks ago they told me the average was about 8 weeks.

    Any information gratefully received.

Hi, I'm looking at CC's too and hopefully ordering one for a lease soon, when I enquired about delivery I was quoted 12-14 weeks for a factory order so it sounds about right.

Unless the build week improves (which is unlikely) then the car will be at the dealers w/c 14th September. Like with most things once you have made your choice you would like it to be there straight away .

Build times seem to vary quite alot from manufacturer to manufacturer and also model to model. Mate of mine received an Audi A6 in 8 weeks from ordering. I don't know what the spec was but the delivery was quick. I am not sure whether it was a cancelled car, but he got what he wanted.

Sometimes you can get lucky and get a 'build slot' changed, so if the dealer ordered the Audi 4 weeks ago, you can still change the spec/colour before it's actually confirmed for build. 12 weeks seems about right for VW/Audi factory order though. Good luck!

Ive ordered a Passat CC GT with a few extras. I was told today that build time is 12-14 weeks which seems the bog standard lead time customers are given.

You`d think that with the so called reduction in cars being sold that the delivery time would be quicker.

Got my deep black Passat CC GT 2.0.TDI last October...Dealer had one in at the port so it was in my hands within two weeks - They told me that VW were only importing 5000 per year so if thats true it might account for the lead in times being longer than you would expect.

Worth the wait, you will not be disappointed.

The order for my CC was placed with the dealer on the 7th August, the estimated delivery date is 10th Dec.

I only asked for a few extras as well. I suppose the fact that VW are putting a limit on the amount of CC's that are coming into the UK means a longer wait than normal.
