If you look at my last post on window regulator clamps then you'll see that I had problems with my window but I have a new problem now lol. the golden bracket that holds the door barrel in wont stay in place so to make a long story short I need advise on how to prevent this?

    many thanks.

its ok now but basically theres a retaining bracket that goes around the door barrel and it kept slipping and falling into the inside of the door but as to the reason for me replacing the regulator clamps to resolve the thudding problem well it hasn't worked so i'm going to call it a day on that lol.

When you unscrewed the Torx screw for the lock barrel you undid it too far. To re-assemble this you have to remove the door handle retaining frame from behind the handle and re-assemble it.
