    Afternoon Guys,

Problem with my 97 Tdi sport. I went to start it this morning and engine started fine however indicators, wipers and air con motor failed to work. Air con controls system flashed for 30s but then was ok, Radio was ok.

Guessing it maybe a flat/flattening battery as car hasnt moved much in recent weeks - short runs of 1-2mile at a time.

Any thoughts on what the source problem is? or how best to rectify the problem? (obviously if flat battery charge it)

    Cheers

    Craig

I had this exact problem last week on my 97 tdi sport, it was the ignition. When you start the car you may find the ignition is still turned too far around, try moving it back, as if you were going to turn it off but not quite. I've been told that a squirt of wd40 in the ignition barrel may free it up a bit, I will try it on mine
