Cheers...not a mention of it anywhere in the handbook. Can't be a garage only top up....surely not ?

I know the spec is DOT4...so I will track some down

The spec is CHF-11S , (Central Hydraulic Fluid) and the colour of the fluid is green, not red. If what is in there is red or brown, it has the incorrect stuff in.

Thats true... CHF 11S....not DOT4....the stuff in there is a very dark green. I'm guessing its probably due to be completely replaced. Its just on minimum so I will top it up for now...although it looks fairly straight forward to replace.

Take pipe off bottom and drain off and wiggle steering a bit to get the dregs out. Fit pipe back and refill and run engine and move steering..

However...I'll probably stick to top up for now...Halfords do some that meets CHF 11S

Make sure you CHECK the colour of PS fluid before you put any in incase of bonding.

Took some out of the tank...its a nice clean light almost transparent green...it looked dark because the tank is black...DOH!

Topped up with some Halfords CHF fluid which is also a nice light green...

Overfilled...so removed excess with a straw...using the old pipet method.

    All looks good now.

    Thanks guys...
