Right whats missing on my audi 80 tdi, ive found a plug that isnt attached to anything inthe engine bay. It comes up from behind the fuel fiter and is only long enough to reach around the filter. I noticed on the front of the cylinder that holds the filter there is a point where a plug would have clipped on. Can someone tell me what im missing

The drain cap of the fuel filter should include a wired sensor (not sure what this does at all, ANYBODY KNOW???) which probably connects to your free wire.

The fuel filter may have been replaced with a generic model and new drain cap without the sensor.

    Cheers,

    Timk
