I had one on an 04 for 6 months and would average 45mpg. Loved the car in fact I have had 7 Audi A3's including the A3 2.0TDI DSG Sport 3dr in Akoya Silver
    Current - Audi A3 Sportback 1.8T Sline
Gone - Audi S3 Sportback Black Edition, Audi S4 Saloon,
Why not join the Audi A3 Owners Club

I have an 05 2.0TDI DSG (140bhp). I've done about 5000mls and the computer says its returned 52 mpg over that time. However, by checking properly (by filling the tank and seeing how much you use by next refill) I get about 10.5 mls per litre which works out around 47-48 mpg. The computer seems rather generous!

I have the 2lt DSG 170 s-line, returning about 39/40 on a fun drive and about 42/43 on a slow drive. Great car with a great set up

Hi. My 2007 A3 2.0TDi DSG returned 47mpg this weekend on a 200 mile trip, 75% of which was on the motorway. Trip computer confirmed average speed over the whole journey was 51mph. The best I've achieved on a relaxed journey is 50 - 52 mpg by driving steady around 55mph. Always seem to get 500 miles minimum from a full tank, including the range remaining at the time of filling up.
Also worth noting is that motorway mpg drops to low 40's when you exceed the speed limit, allegedly.

Chrisyboyc: your fuel consumption is fantastic, can you tell me if this is from your own calculation or reading from the onboard computer....

I ask because i have found my onboard computer to be misleading..

I get on average 43 mpg from 2009 2.0 TDI DSG Cabriolet based on physical calculation.

    Regards...
