    HI,the problem i have is that the front doors will lock with the key but the rear doors don't the back doors have to be locked manualy the electric windows will only work by useing the key ,the mirror switch isn't working and the curtisy lights wont come on or the lights at the bottom of the door and finaly the boot lock has to be locked manualy up to now i have checked the 4 micro switchs in the drivers door lock and they all work as they should by the way my car is a 1.9 tdi b5 automatic 4 door saloon on a 1998 plate please help me befor i go mad pete also the car does'nt have a fob just keys thanks once again

    How wet is the passenger footwell. Check the ccm under the passenger seat and the wires that run to it. Search this forum for threads on wet carpets, ccm etc

    Hi, Martin i did as you sugested and it was as you said the wiring loom was shot corroded i cut out the bad copper and let new lenghts in then re-soldered jobs a good'un thanks pete
