I've got a 2003 A4 3.0 Quattro, roughly 90K miles on it. In the last couple weeks it's started giving me inconsistent throttle response. I'll be driving along in 3rd gear, ~2500rpm and go to accelerate (slow and smooth)...the car will feel bogged down for a second and then lurch like it found extra power...then again as the RPMs rise. This bugs me cause the car has always had very smooth power delivery.

At first I thought this was a power band issue, but the same happens at various RPM ranges. I'm leaning towards a fuel system problem...dirty injectors maybe? Dieing fuel pump?

Any thoughts before I start digging into this one?
