Ive got a MK4 1.4 S, and im wondering how easy it would be for the car to have 'Remote Central Locking' as the car has Central Locking as standard. As im currently looking into getting the car delocked.

You'd obviously have to get the keyfobs to go alongside with the keys (was an optional extra) (Along with near enough everything else ).

I know some MK4 Golfs did have it, but i have recently also discovered that Rear Door Cards (3 Door) there are speaker holders, but no speakers in them? So im wondering if the central locking is similar to this. The Abilities is there, but the unit for the central locking isn't.

    Lemme Know what you think.

Have a look at your comfort ecu part number (it's on the comfort ecu). Mine ends in Q and apparently has got a fob reciever. My car didn't come with a fob, but I've bought a couple and I'm going to try to attempt programming it tommorow

    Hi
I would go for an aftermarket alarm. Comes with the remote fob, as previously said. If you decide to go for this, I would get an insurance alarm fitted. Comes with interior sensors, boot, bonnet and door coverage and gets you about £50 to £60 of your insurance premium. I believe insurance alarms start at around £220.
Make sure you get your certificate to submit to your insurers.
    Good luck.
