    Hi,

My 94 Avant TDi has a broken drivers side interior door opening handle

The handle just pulls out and doesn't engage the latch

At the moment I have to wind down the window and open the door from the outside (which is annoying as I always forget )

Does anyone have a procedure for repairing/replacing the handle?

Hi,check the cable hasn`t come adrift of the interior handle,or a locating tag hasn`t broken off on the cable first, causing it to not operate the latch, more than likely to be the problem.Just remove the door trim panel .Cheers.

Check all around the edge of the trim panel for small screws,i cant comment on your particular year,as i had an `88 model, but there was a screw inside the interior handle part,to un-clip -push forward, you`ll then see the cable.Under the door `pull` handle you may see a plastic panel,un-clip and 2 screws under it.And then,if you have elec.windows, the whole panel will lift out.As mentioned, the panel is removed from the door by lifting it `UP`.Hope this is of help!
