A4 cab silver windscreen surround tarnished

anyone know how to remove the tarnishing on the silver windscreen surround. I presume this is stainless steel but no matter how well i clean it it leaves white swirls that look like water marks. It does improve a bit if i use kitchen appliance stainless cleaner but soon comes back. any ideas ?

This stuff is fantastic
the surround is alluminium an the cab

i use this on my road legal quad bikes wheels and there mirror polished and its the only stuff i have ever used that will take out all water markes etc
i use it to polish the roof rail on my audi too.
