    Hi, anyone seen this before?

when driving along at anything over 35mph, if you hold the clutch down or slip it into neutral, the engine will die. (which scared the hell out of my missus because you loose power steering).
You can then restart the engine using your momentum, or pull over and start it the normal way.
Oddly, when you're at a stand still, the engine will idle perfectly.
This problem only occurs when the car is moving along at 35mph or more.

I tried an experiment: facing down hill, in neutral, engine idling nicely, i releace the brakes. the car begins to coast down the hill slowly getting faster, engine still idling nicely, as soon as you hit 35mph, the engine dies.
This seems VERY strange to me!

    Any ideas
    cheers
    Ed
