Hi i have an Audi A3 mk2 2004 2.0FSi. I have a problem where my car keeps losing all power and going to idle revs untill i stop and set off going again.

It also enters limp home mode (where ECU stops car reving over 3000rpm to protect it). Now the car is struggling to start sometimes but runs seamlesly other times.

I've run diagnostics and the following faults where identified:

    Misfire on cylinder 1
    Misfire on cylinder 2
    Misfire on cylinder 3
    Misfire on cylinder 4
    Random misfire
Fuel pressure sensor - low pressure

Any body got any ideas im getting desperate.

    Cheers, Kyle

Kyle, sorry to hear of your problem but have you tried googling your problem? If you type the following into google search there's a number of hits with owners having similar problems - the symptoms vary :

    audi "Misfire on cylinder 1"

    Cheers

Hi - I know this doesn't help you but, having read your post I can't help thinking how lucky you are.
With so many clear fault codes you should have no trouble locating the cause of your problems.

I wish my similar problems would show up so many clear fault codes!
I might be able to wake up from my nightmare!

Good luck, hope you get sorted soon.

    JP.

Yes it has helped however its taken me a month of my car running like s**t to eventualy get any codes from it and now it wont start but at least now im on my way to getting it fixed.

Ordered a new rear fuel pump from audi today cost £115 + VAT so hopefully fingers crossed that should solve my problem if not its onto the high pressure pump or fuel pressure sensor. Anyone any other ides just in case?

    Will post my progress.

    Cheers guys,
    Kyle

Pump arriving on thursday will let you know how it goes. Apparently its wuite an easy job as the pump is on top of the tank under the back seats.

    Cheers,
    kyle
