This is driving me mad - How do you fit the down pipe?

I have the car up on ramps, I have removed the old one, the flex was broken so came out in two halves..

The new pipe, I just can not thread back into place, do I need to drop the sub frame or something like that??

    Any help would be good

    Cheers

    John

sorted - i think the bracket for the rubbers was in the wrong position,

cutting it off and re-welding once fitted.
