    Hello,

is anyone aware if wheels from a Touareg will fit a passat B6? Althernatively what others wheels from the Vag Group have exactly the same dimensions as the B6.

    Thanks in Advance

    Nick

Touareg PCD is 5 x 120 and Passat is 5x112 with the Touareg ET being around ET60 and Passat being around ET 45 that would leave enough room for a 15-mm spacer adapter so in theory, yes.

Thanks does the PCD not mean the holes would not line up? Additionally is there a ready made spacer and if a spacer was used would it not mean the wheel was in the wrong position for the hubs putting more stress on the wheel bearings and suspension?

    Regards

    Nick

Yes PCD is the bolt spacing, Pitch Circle Diameter. I don't know if there is an off the shelf spacer available but it wouldn't cause excessive loadings if there was BUT I don't like adapters or spacers. It would be better to find the wheel you want in the correct offset (ET), size (WxD) and PCD.

I agree, the only issue is that I want something from the VAG range and ideally in 19"

    Any ideas?

    Regards

    VW don’t approve of 19’s on the Passat 3C and even have this warning about 18’s;

    "Caution

Fitting 8 J x 18" wheels is possible only under the following conditions:

The vehicle must have either a sports running gear with approx.15 mm lowered suspension equipped with spring travel limiters or spring travel limiters with Votex part number 000.071.501/A must be fitted on front and rear axles. In both cases the rear axle camber must be set to -1°45'.

Widened wheel housings (FLAPS) must additionally be installed, with the exception of Germany - here, the widened wheel housings (FLAPS) can be omitted with TÜV certificate No. 2174/05."

Thanks for the heads up. Based on this I will not fit 19" but go for 18" instead. I had the same sort of caveat on my old V70 where you were supposed to fit steering limiters etc. I think 18"s will be okay providing i keep the same rolling radius.

    Regards

There is a caveat on the Golf 4 platform over steering lock and 17" wheels where you are supposed to fit a reduced lock steering rack but in practice it is rarely a problem.

It depends on what B6 model; The Milwauki wheels fitted as standard to 'S' models are 7Jx16 and fitted with 215/55 R16 Tyres.
The Catalunya whhels are the same spec as the above but are fitted as standard to SE Models.
Adelaide wheels are fitted to SEL as standard and have the same spec as above.
Solitude wheels are fitted to SEL 4MOTION models but not available as option but use 235/45 R17 Tyres.
Westwood 7½Jx17 are an option across the range.
Macau 7½Jx17 are an option across the range
Le Mans 7½Jx17 are an option across the range
Monte Carlo 7½Jx17 standard on Sport Models but option on other models except 4MOTION

Hopefully there is enough information I would compare with the Toureg website and see if it might work - good luck !
