G210 is the low level sensor in the baffle housing on the drivers side of the car. If this sensor reads low when the fuel gauge it not indicating low then either sensor is US or the jet fuel pump has failed. Due to the tank being in section because of the rear prop shaft the tank uses a jet pump in the RHS of the tank to move fuel across to the RHS. The Jet pump is driven by fuel flow from the pump. It could be a pipe come off inside the pump or a jet pump failure ( rare ) A pump fault or a blown fuse. Post you email address or PM me if you want the diagrams for accessing the pump and testing. First thing to do is turn the engine on and listen for the 2 second burst of fuel pump whine, no noise, even with your ear by the rear wheel arch and an assistant turns it on then no pump, for what ever reason. Regards Peter

I have just re-read your post. If you wne into the red on the guage then the pump and jet pump are working, you just ran out of fuel thus setting the low level fuel sensor. Fill it up and all should be well again. Only 1/4 full it until you know everything is OK as you can not access the fuel pump if the tank is more than about 1/3 full. Regards Peter

    hi
    great info thankyou.
as soon as it touches the red mark the engine cuts out so i put a gallon in had to wind car over to prime the pump then its away, got the chance of a new level tank sender for £4.00

Hitting the red does not cut the fuel. You appear to be actually running out of fuel. Can you hear the pump running. ?? The low level sensor and the fuel gauge sensor are seperate devices. Regards Peter
