    Im looking for a set of roof bars and a roof cycle carrier,has anyone had any experiance with any other makes besides VW?
    There wanted for a B6 estate.

    Try looking at THULE, the part number for the latest estate model for four feet is 757 and the aero bars are part number 861, combined price for both is about £90 -£100. Go to the THULE website to confirm which model number you require. If you change your car later you could utilise the bars by buying the correct feet.
    As for bike carriers, Thule also do a range of quality fittings. You can buy cheaper from the likes of Halfords, but a good rule of thumb is "you get what you pay for".

    I have Thule bars and bike carrier, well worth the extra
    Passat Sport Estate / Reflex Silver / Ipod / Heated front and rear seats / Leather

    I use the Thule 861 aerobars and 755 footpack, they are really well designed, and I get no wind noise at all when fitted.

    Well worth the premium

    I had a set of roof bars in the boot of my saloon when I picke it up. I think there genuine parts come with a torque wrench kind of T handle so you don't over tighten them. Not sure if they will fit the estate or not.
