Went to my local dealer today over the problem with my clutch i mentioned in one of my previous posts they seem to have diagnosed it as a master cylinder.
Whilst there they mentioned that there was a recall for the fuel pump, does anyone know why this recall was made by VW?

If it's a diesel you have, follow the link below.

If you have a petrol there was a problem with mounting bolts.

My car went into VW today for the fuel pump recall, left it with them for a couple of hours then collected it mid afternoon.
My car had been washed and hoovered and on the way home it did seem to drive a lot smoother and pull better through the gears.
I know this might be the placebo effect, but it genuinely does seem smoother and a touch quieter.

Have a look at the plastic panel that covers the jack etc. and see if there's now a sticker there. If there is it will detail the work done on the recall.
