Concert radio upgrade

I have a 52 plate A4 Avant with the Concert radio fitted. It is suffering from what I understand is a common problem, with channels dropping out periodically then coming back. I have had the wiring checked and been told it is not that.

Are there any other Audi sets which will fit without any modification?

Sorry if this question has been answered before, I couldn't find anything.

I believe any of the Audi stereos will fit as long as you get the same size (as in single or double DIN). Some stereos made post 2007 now have a different connector called quadlock which requires an adapter - also you loose the ZF radio connector so the signal is weaker. I did this upgrade on my A3 - it looks and works great but the radio is quieter than it used to be. The newer stereo is easily recognisable!
