    Hello Everyone,

I recently had timing belt, water pump, head gasket and diesel filter done (£954) on my 115 gt tdi.

Since this work my MPG has gone down (I used to get approx 55 mpg between Portsmouth and London, I now get approx 38 mpg) the performance has definitely changed too. It feels much more sluggish and I need much higher revs in gears 1-3 to get any positive response.

Any ideas what might have casued this?

    Many Thanks

    JLS

The 115 is a PD. No separate pump.

I would say they did the Tipex and pray method of cam timing which is completely inadequate, the crank and cam must be locked with blocking plate and pin respectiavley.
