Hi, just been into have an mot on the TT and apparently the front and rear anti roll bars are cracked?
I would understand the bushes and links becoming a problem but anti roll bars?
Has anyone come across this and have the bars actually been cracked? I would have expected to hear a cracking noise as the bar twists but nothing????
Just had a quick butchers and looks like the mot station is trying it on. The paint has started to crack, lift and peel!!! Will have a better look tomorrow.
I think a vosa appeal is coming on!

On the TT the plastic bushes are part of the bar, these crack.
They can't be replaced you have to change the bar.
Most people fit R32 roll bars.

Thanks for your reply Kite but having had another look all I can see is the rubber bushes clamped with a metal strap to the anti roll bar. The paint is peeling and splitting on the bar,but no where near an mot failure.
Sorry but on this mot they were taking the p*ss!!!

Under the rubber is a plastic sleeve which is part of the bar.
As you say yours is splitting and peeling and probobly cracked the plastic, this would be a fail..

If the plastic sleeve under the rubber is split how does this constitute a fail?
The bar is still held in place by the bushes and there is no movement.
