I came across an A6 the other day with the PQ6 "5 segment wheels" in 20inch format, must say it did not look bad, but it was an RS6 AVANT so it managed to carry it off quite well, just thinking has anyone tried to fit such a stupidly big diameter wheel to the A4-B8 model, if so did you have to fit allroad suspension to stop the inner wheel arches rubbing in extreme situations?

It all depends on the profile of tyre that you run - if you put a 30 profile 255 tyre on a 20" rim that would be the same overall size as a 255/35/19 which is on the A4 anyway.......

It would drive like a pig mind you but it would drive none the less - oh, and watch out for pot holes!!!

See what you are saying and it only confirms what I already thought. There is a limit! and 20 inchers are way to bling!!. And potentially dangerous, think about your spine trauma. Have to say when I spec a car or buy aftermarket wheels I always work out the max diameter of the wheel and tyre combo and choose the one that fills the arches the best! ie. 17 inch wheels with the correct tyre combo actually have a bigger rolling radius than 18 inchers, just imagine the affect on speedo accuracy, or acceleration/top speed data. Most of the time its only about the optics.

Saw these on a white A5 cabrio 3.0 TDI quattro in my Audi showroom yesterday. I checked the size and they were 19" wearing 255/35 19 tyres.

    They look VERY VERY nice!

As far as I'm aware they're only an option on the S4 A4

Yep, good looking wheel with that deep dish effect in the center, (it is an option in Germany for any A4), and priced very similarly to the twin spoke 19 inchers which are also V nice but ? Because the dealership have messed my order up I am looking at having the price of the retrospective s-line suspension removed from my bill (603 Pounds!!) and staying with the -20mm drop and purchasing aftermarket 19 inch wheels. The AEZ Lascar 19 inch wheel with the Grey rim would look pretty good I reckon and are pretty reasonably priced. Still not cheap though.

I must be weird - I really like the standard 18" wheels on the S4. I thought about 19" rims but the ones I liked were stupidly expensive!

If I'd gone for the S4 I would have stuck with the OEM 18's too.
