fog lights?

hi all, im looking to fit front fogs on my 2002 passat. i have read a few posts on here that mention the wiring may already be there, but only part of it? which bits of the wiring are possibly there and where do i need to look to find it? im qiute handy with wiring stuff in but am fairly new to vw so would like some pointers if possible. i know i need a new switch and obviously the lamps and grilles but would really like to use vw wiring if its there. is there a how to guide anywhere that i could use?

Retrofitting front fog lights to a B5.5...

The wiring to the switch may be present and the switch may be the correct one with the front fog output wires missing. You won't know until you take the switch out. If it's the right switch you just need to run two new feed wires to your new lamps and earth them. You can use the rear fog wire as a switch but then you must get power via a relay.

im working on the assumption that my light switch only has rear fog light picture on it and only pulls out one click. that would make me think it hasnt got output for front fogs. ive had a look around the bumper area where the fog lights go and cant see any wires in there unless they are tucked up out of the way somewhere. i read in a post somewhere about them bieng part wired to a junnction box?? does anyone know where said junction box is and how will i know if the wiring is present.

Yes Chris, but owned an Audi A6 and a Seat Leon previously that have had, but not seen any B5 Passat's with them, which is more my point - on a SE spec you would expect some?
