Also take the opportunity to update the maps whilst having the repair update, all 2011 vehicles have the latest release map update.
The revision T disc has been tested and the results are positive
As always you have the information before your local dealer lol

Are these updates available for the MMI 3G Low (DVD sat Nav)?. Also are there any updates or other ways to give me 3D mapping on the Sav Nav?.

yes the 3g dvd nav also supports the latest update using a different update cd and if im not being daft just click 3d veiw in nav set up

Interesting thread which took me some time to scan through. My car is due in the dealers within the next month and will raise the sat nav issue with them again. Surely they should update the map FOC???

FYI it may be worth noting that rather than taking photos of the MMI screen i found that if you have a SD card in slot 1 and you press the return button and the left/right buttons it takes a screen shot in .png format.

Well done for reading all the way through - it's an epic of a thread! Thanks for the tip about taking screenshots too - very useful info!

My car goes in for the software update in the morning. I called the dealer today and spoke to the service manager about a map update at the same time, and his response was "given the problems you've had with the car, I'm certainly not going to charge you for a map update. We will do it while the car is with us tomorrow."

Needless to say, I'm a very happy bunny! Getting the long-awaited software fix and a free map update at the same time is bringing a big, stupid grin to my face every time I think about it!

There will be two cases of beer in the boot of my car tomorrow when it goes in - one with the Master Tech's name on it, and one with the service manager's!

When I get the car back, I will post up the new software and map version numbers.

Well I hope i get a map update too!

Not quite sure exactly what sequence of pressing the 3 keys does a screen shot but its combo of the three. But obviously you have to remove the card to view in a pc.

Hi there, I have a 2007 audi A6 Avant 2,7 TDI, with MMI (full colour screen). A couple of days ago, there was a quick digital squeaky noise when the radio was on. Suddenly after that, the tuner was gone and a message on the screen that said: Radio is Not Installed.
After that it found few stations but they're all in grey and couldn't select them. I tried tuning the stations, seek + and -, I even set the radio to factory setting but no radio station is found.

Did that sound I heard in the first place meant some part inside the radio has blown? Or is it something to do with the antenna?

Can anyone help me with this issue please. Thanks
