    Can anybody help airbag warning light is on. Took car to auto electrian, laptop came up with fault code 01217 driver seat airbag squib out of range. What does this mean. How do you fix it

    You really need a proper code read that is more specific. This could be a faulty seat airbag, a wiring fault in the seat. Is the resistance too high..... a dirty or broken connection or is the resistance too low....a short circuit. The only visual check you can do is look for damaged wires or dirty connectors. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING WITH THE IGNITION ON AND WAIT WITH IGNITION OFF FOR 5 MINUTES BEFORE TOUCHING ANYTHING. AIRBAGS ARE DANGEROUS.
